La Tomatina: The World’s Biggest Food Fight
Free · open it in the app and customise every day.
On the last Wednesday of August, the small town of Buñol near Valencia erupts into the world's largest food fight — tens of thousands of people, 150,000 tomatoes, and one glorious hour of red chaos.
The plan
Base in beautiful Valencia — the futuristic City of Arts, the old town, real wood-fired paella — then head to Buñol for La Tomatina itself.
Survive it well
Wear old clothes and closed shoes you'll throw away, bring goggles, seal your phone in a waterproof pouch, and buy the official ticket in advance. Once the second cannon fires, the fight stops — head for the hose-down showers.
